Successful cities will be those that identify the challenges and respond to the opportunities of tomorrow. The emerging worldwide issues, such as climate change and globalisation demands an ambitious response.
A key component of the Business Partnership will be the 2030 Group, a subsidiary of the Cardiff Business Partnership. This group will comprise young and dynamic members of the city’s wealth creating community, and will focus upon the issues and projects that will help make Cardiff a more competitive city of the future.
Members will comprise future leaders of major businesses and public sector bodies in Wales, including those within the sectors identified as being the drivers of future success for the city.
The 2030 Group will look at what will shape Cardiff over the next 20 years, considering issues such as globalisation, sustainable development, and economic competitiveness in developing a city of the future. Through the Cardiff 2030 Group, it will give the city a clear path for becoming an internationally competitive Capital.
The group is chaired by Huw E Davies, Chief Executive of Boomerang and Gerallt Jones, Partner at Hugh James.
